Our room was incredible, with a wood-burning fireplace, a private pool, and a huge stone bathtub. The shared spaces felt cozy and welcoming, and the whole hotel is stunning. I only wish we could have kept the fire going after 9 p.m. We had massages one morning and enjoyed them. They're currently building a larger spa, which should be an improvement. The cooking class was a highlight, and we've already put our new pasta-making skills to use at home. Every restaurant served outstanding food. Breakfast was rustic and delicious, and the bread and pizza at lunch were among the best I've had. The tasting menu at the Michelin restaurant is a must-try. We stayed at Borgo Santo Pietro for my husband's birthday in October. We'd booked well in advance, then the hotel received its 3 Michelin keys just a few weeks before we arrived. A couple of small frustrations: there's no gym on the property apart from the outdoor “jungle” gym. An activity board listed things to do each morning, but whenever we asked the concierge, they were already booked. I'd plan activities before arrival or at the latest on the day you get there. It's a truly special place. I'd highly recommend it and hope I can return soon.

We went for lunch, and I have to say this is the best place to be in the region so far. The atmosphere feels authentic, the service was outstanding, and we'll definitely come back to enjoy the hotel, activities, and relaxing pool.

The estate is beautiful, and cycling around the grounds and wandering through the gardens were highlights of our stay at Borgo Santo Pietro. The food was excellent too. We found the overall experience memorable, though the service didn't always feel as attentive or polished as you'd expect from a place of this caliber.

Of our three stops in Italy on our honeymoon, Borgo was easily our favorite. We'll never forget it. The hotel feels warm and intimate, the grounds are immaculate, our room was gorgeous, and the pool was a beautiful place to unwind. We loved the fresh food and atmosphere at both restaurants. We also had a great time with the activities: the Sunday night garden dinner on the farm, a cooking class, a hike followed by a dip in the nearby river, and tennis one morning. The staff made the trip extra special. Mattia, Simone, and Alice helped us check in, Renato was at the pool, Julian and Jorge were at the Trattoria, and Erica from the concierge led our hike. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. We hope to come back soon!

We'd been looking forward to staying at Borgo Santo Pietro, especially because Trattoria Su’llalbero is our favorite restaurant in Tuscany and one we return to often. The grounds are undeniably beautiful, perhaps more beautiful than any hotel in Tuscany, and breakfast and the cooking class were among the best we've had. But we were very disappointed by the hotel itself, and it didn't feel worth the price. Our sleep suffered because the rooms have no blackout shades, and the pillows were far too soft and poor quality. The mattress wasn't great either. Service also fell short. Staff often passed guests without a smile or hello, and at breakfast we waited a long time for someone to take our coffee order. The concierge wasn't very helpful when we tried to book the cooking class. The woman told us it was full without suggesting alternatives. We only managed to arrange it after asking about later dates. It felt unprofessional that no spaces were kept available for hotel guests. I'd definitely visit the beautiful Trattoria Su’llalbero, but I wouldn't recommend staying at the hotel.
