La Corte del Grillo - Residenza d'Epoca

Lara deserves a special mention for going above and beyond for us. The building is beautiful, the rooms are roomy, the beds are really comfortable, and breakfast tastes great. I can't recommend this hotel enough, a 10/10.

The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the ingredients at breakfast were excellent. Still, breakfast isn't served as a buffet, and with portions this small, asking for more feels a little awkward. It's a lovely old residence in a handy spot for people passing through. The rooms are spotless and spacious, but there are a few things that need attention: the air conditioning is extremely noisy, the bathroom needs renovating, and the electrical outlets should be updated. A mini-fridge for a small bottle of water would also be useful in the height of summer. The property could offer a lot more.

The location was excellent, and everything was clean and carefully looked after. Breakfast was another highlight, with local, zero-kilometer ingredients, homemade cakes, and savory items worth trying. We also appreciated the useful advice we were given, which made our stay even nicer. We spent two nights at Corte del Grillo and were very glad we chose it. The welcome, courtesy, hospitality, and professionalism were all top-notch, and suited the historic residence perfectly. It’s the kind of place that leaves an impression.

We picked this place almost by chance and were delighted. It’s a two-star hotel, with just a few rooms in an old residence that’s been renovated to keep its historic feel while providing modern comforts. Lara greeted us so kindly and let us come and go without having to stick to a schedule. That evening we ate at the owner's two restaurants, Tiziana's, and everything was top-notch. We can't wait to come back. It's lovely to see people who are so passionate about their work.
