Hotel Ritz

The location is hard to fault, just two minutes from the train and the main shopping street. Staff were nice and very helpful, though the stay felt a little rough around the edges. It seems renovation work hasn't been finished since the hotel left the Ritz brand: the lift is dark, corridor lights flicker, and there are exposed bricks and cables in parts of the room. The curtains aren't on a rail, so they can't be tied back to let in light, and the beds are very firm. It's not terrible, and it could be worth staying a few nights at a good rate. Just expect something like a mid-to-low-range Premier Inn or Travelodge.

The hotel is well placed in the town center, close to plenty of exceptional restaurants. Rooms are nicely presented, and the staff are friendly. WiFi is fast, though it can be a little flaky. I'll stay again next time I'm here.

There are lots of small, good, popular places to eat nearby, and as someone who's choosy and occasionally eats non-vegetarian food, I had a great time trying most of them. The hotel is in the small town of Chivasso near Turin, within a five-minute walk of both the bus and train stations. It has well-lit, decently sized rooms, a good reception, and very helpful staff. This was my second stay at ritz, and I hope to be back next year.

The hotel is very close to the railway station, but the elevator wasn't working and breakfast service was sluggish.
