VOI Florio Resort

The view is beautiful, the beach is nice and reserved for hotel guests, and there's entertainment for the kids. The staff were all really nice, so we had a pleasant stay. Still, it didn't feel worth what we paid. We heard Sicily is like that everywhere, though.

The food was good quality, with plenty of nice local dishes, and getting to the beach was an easy walk. Hotel guests have sunbeds and umbrellas there, and there's a private stretch close to the public beach. The hotel sits on a small hill by the sea. Our room felt a little old, and the air conditioning wasn't working properly. Cinisi is close enough to walk to in the evening.

Getting around the resort means tackling quite a lot of stairs, so it could be difficult with a stroller or for someone with a disability. The beach was a real plus: private, clean, and with sunbeds and umbrellas included. Our room was basic but kept clean and in good shape, with daily cleaning. The food and service stood out most for us. We hadn't had food that good on a vacation before, and the local dishes and desserts were varied enough that we didn't need to go elsewhere to try regional food.

There aren't any shops or supermarkets nearby. The hotel could work well for families with little kids and older people, and the beach has free sunbeds and umbrellas. Most rooms don't have a balcony. The food was tasty, though breakfast had too many sweets. The dining room staff were great and helpful, but reception staff need to be more polite and behave better. In particular, some of the young women there laughed in guests' faces and rolled their eyes, which isn't a good way to treat people.
