I booked a one-night stay for April 15, 2024. I checked in during the evening and came back after dinner to find the room extremely hot. There were no instructions for the air conditioner, no remote, and no information anywhere. I opened the windows, but then mosquitoes filled the room. I'm highly allergic and got a very bad skin reaction and swelling. I tried several times to reach the night concierge for help by calling 154, the night assistance number, but nobody answered. I spent the whole night in a hot room with mosquitoes. It was a real nightmare. Breakfast wasn't pleasant either. We were late and hadn't slept much. In the morning, the staff told us the AC units don't work with the windows open. That would've been useful to know at check-in, but the lack of night assistance meant that wasn't possible. This place isn't well organized and needs to pay attention to guests' needs. No stars, really. Worst experience of my life.

Otherwise, we loved our stay: the beach was beautiful, and the hotel had a private sandy section with no rocks. But the first impression unfortunately stuck with me. The person at check-in was rude and smirked at my Florida driver's license. It left me thinking they might not like Americans, only Italians. In two weeks of vacation in Italy, this was the only place that wasn't nice. I love Italy and Italians and will keep doing so, but someone should tell this man that he represents not just Residence II Gabbiano, but a beautiful nation whose people are known for their hospitality.

My favorite moment in Ciro'marina! Having an aperitif while lying on the sand, with a lovely sea view, stars above, a fresh evening breeze, and the sound of the waves was just magic. Great service and delicious food. I really enjoyed it.

My room had a perfect view of the sea, and it was very comfortable. The staff really make an effort to get everything right. A smart, typical four-star hotel. You won't be disappointed staying here.
