We had a wonderful week at Mario’s trulli. The apartment was spacious, clean, and well equipped, and the owners were kind with excellent communication. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by nature, with a lovely swimming pool. Highly recommended!

Each holiday home has its own outdoor pergola, where you can enjoy meals together, and there’s a pool overlooking the valley that’s lovely for romantic sunsets. The homes sit in a peaceful Mediterranean garden with native plants, rosemary, sage, santolina, fruit trees, cherry trees, figs, and grapevines. There’s a small vegetable patch too, where you can pick tomatoes, zucchini, and chili peppers. Gathering the garden’s produce and making a simple meal can feel wonderfully bucolic, and with children it can be an educational activity, especially for those used to city life. Highly recommended!

Picking cherry tomatoes, zucchini, and sage from the garden and eating outdoors in the sunshine was such a welcome change from the city. It’s a magical place with a lovely slow pace, and an experience I’d happily repeat.
