The location is spectacular, right in the Puglian countryside and handy for exploring the nearby villages. The room was clean enough, but the shower silicone was badly mouldy and needed replacing. The shower also floods the whole bathroom if you turn it on full. Breakfast was fine if you like cake, cake, cake, and more cake. Dear Italians, we love you, but cake for breakfast is weird when you’re not four years old. I really wanted to like this place, but the design is just so bad. If you get up before your spouse, you’ll hate the opaque glass wall between the bathroom and bedroom. You can’t switch on the bathroom light without lighting up the bedroom like a football pitch. You might think of leaving the curtains open a bit since it’s countryside, except there’s a giant spotlight in the garden right outside the window. There’s only a curtain instead of a bathroom door, and I can’t imagine who thought that was a good idea. Maybe the same person who chose a matt black toilet, which really isn’t a good idea either. The rooms have shelving but no table, so there’s nowhere to put things. A key would be nice, too. Instead, the six digit code opens the gate, front door, and room door, and you have to wake the screen and press enter. That’s 24 button-pushes just to get into your room. Really annoying, and technology where it isn’t needed. If you like a B&B that looks like a dentist’s reception room fell out of an IKEA catalogue, you’ll love it.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the area was very peaceful. Breakfast had lots of options. Check-in was modern and easy, and the roof terrace was lovely for watching the sunset.
