We found it easy to unwind here, with a town full of good restaurants and nice shops less than 5 kilometres away. It would be a lovely base for a week or more. Aberobello, Ostunia and Matera are within reasonable reach, and Baia del Sol makes for a tropical-feeling beach day.

We spent five days in the two-person trullo. It’s compact, but full of character. The pool and the rest of the grounds are well cared for, and the hostess was kind and helpful. Locorotondo and Ostuni are both a short drive away, as are the beaches.

A lovely place in a typical trulli guesthouse, with spectacular views and pool. The hosts are nice, and there are some pretty cats around too.
