B&B Mediterrando

Alessandra is a lovely host, and you feel right at home here. It’s a wonderful B&B, perfectly placed for visiting Citta' della Pieve, Panicale and Castiglion del Lago. Great for kids!!!

We only spent one day in Città della Pieve a couple of weeks ago, and I wish we could have stayed longer. What we’ll remember is Alessandra’s warmth and kindness, her hospitality, and the sweetness of her wonderful children. The property is spotless, tastefully furnished, and has everything you need, in a beautiful, peaceful setting full of art. Alessandra has put together a gem of a library, packed with all kinds of rarities, and her father’s drawings and paintings throughout the house are a joy to see. We’re definitely planning to return, if only to spend time with these wonderful hosts. See you soon! Luigi

We stayed with our family, two adults and two children aged 9 and 10. The countryside setting comes with the usual tradeoffs, and if you want hotel comforts, this probably isn’t the place for you. There’s no refrigerator in the room, no daily linen change, and no room tidying. The grounds could use some work too, including the driveway, farmhouse fronts, and garden furniture, though the manager already knows about these issues. What makes the place special is Alessandra. She’s polite, kind, friendly, culturally curious, and incredibly helpful, and by the end of our stay I felt I’d made a friend. As soon as you walk in, you find a sincere, lived-in place with tasteful furnishings and a lot of character. There are three rooms, two for two people and one for four, with distinctive, functional furniture and comfortable, well-arranged spaces. Breakfast is served downstairs in the welcoming rural kitchen, around one shared table, which makes for a nice chance to meet and get to know the other guests. If you prefer, they can serve it upstairs in a small sitting area tucked among bookshelves. Four-legged friends are welcome, especially since Alessandra has pets. For quiet, warmth, sincerity, friendship, and helpfulness, this is the place.

A few quiet days away from the daily rush were exactly what we needed, and we found them here. Alessandra runs the B&B with such warmth and patience, and her lovely children made us feel welcome too. There are books, paintings, and plenty of ideas around, along with thoughtful advice and genuine hospitality. Our four-legged companions were welcomed and spoiled as well.
