What I’ll remember most is the staff and management. I’ve never stayed anywhere with people so amazing, and I’m going to miss them when our 16 days here are over. Borgo di Celle sits among the Umbrian hills, with lovely views all around. The rooms feel rustic and beautiful while still having modern comforts, and they’re very comfortable. Its spot on the Tuscany border, in central Italy, also makes it easy to explore, with either coast no more than about three hours away. Thanks to the fantastic team at Borgo di Celle!

The restaurant was amazing, and the staff were so friendly. We had a great stay at Borgo di Celle, with excellent service and food in a wonderful location. The castle is nearly 1,700 years old and still in amazing shape. We highly recommend it.

The breakfast had plenty of choice, and the venue is lovely with a stunning view. Unfortunately, the customer service wasn’t great. We needed an extra night after a wedding, and it cost more than booking the same room online would have. The air-conditioning also wasn’t working or available.

I really appreciated how accessible the ground floor and the disability room were, with no barriers and everything needed. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the hotel is peaceful, with a lovely view over the valley and the quiet Umbria countryside. Staff were consistently kind and available, and the restaurant served fresh local ingredients in traditional Central Italian dishes, with great service. There’s also a bar for coffee and drinks downstairs, plus a reading room, which is a brilliant idea. One letdown was breakfast coffee. In Italy I expect espresso and cappuccino, so a machine serving them didn’t match the otherwise high standard. I didn’t get to try the spa or pool.

It’s a charming little village turned into an agriturismo, with lovely views, a swimming pool, and a great restaurant. If that’s what you’re after, you’ve found it! 😍
