The setting made it easy to relax, with a lovely swimming pool, free WiFi, and covered parking. There’s no restaurant on the property, but Cividale is less than 2 km away, with plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and local shops selling local products. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, with air conditioning and a small kitchenette. We stayed at Casa Luis with our dog, who loved being able to run freely on walks when it was allowed. Rosanna and Elena were warm, kind hosts, and we had a really friendly connection with them. The property is beautifully kept in picturesque Cividale Del Friuli, among vineyards at the foot of the Italian pre-Alps. There are marked trails through the vineyards and into the mountains and olive groves, plus lovely bike rides that children can enjoy too. Pets are welcome. It’s a peaceful place to unwind and explore the area, with a restful night’s sleep and everything we needed. If you want a quiet nature getaway with great hospitality, I highly recommend Casa Luis.

I liked how peaceful it was, and the owner was cheerful and helpful without disturbing my quiet time. There was more in the room than I needed, including a microwave, Nescafé, milk, sweets, and tea. Easy walks are nearby, and Google Maps will lead you to restaurants about 15-20 minutes away on foot. Cividale’s old town is around a 30-minute walk, with nice views along the way. A good choice if you’re fine with walking. No worries about cars, usually you see two or three, or none at all.

We loved the views and the pool area. Everything was clean and tidy, and the WiFi was really fast, which your kids will appreciate.
