I was lucky enough to get a room with its own bathroom. Some rooms have the bathroom across the hall. The room was spotless, and there’s also a nice courtyard off the kitchen. Breakfast includes a croissant and coffee at the outdoor cafe next door, and the prices are incredibly low compared with hotels and B&Bs in Rome. The owner is what makes this such a pleasant stay. Just be sure to arrive before 8:30 pm: self check-in isn’t allowed, since the owner needs to hand you the keys and explain how the exterior and interior doors work. It’s a 500 meter walk to the train station and 1500 meters to the free cruise bus stop. I’d definitely stay here again.

Lorenzo was a perfect host, nothing was too much trouble, and the cafe serving breakfast was excellent. I spent 8 nights here and was glad I did. The room was very clean and comfortable, with good WiFi. Highly recommend Il Giardinetto.

The garden out back made for a peaceful evening when we stayed in. The accommodations were beautiful and clean, and the manager was very helpful. I was completely satisfied and will book again soon, maybe for a much longer stay!

For North American standards the room is small, but it’s comfy, super clean, and in a great location. This adorable place is great value for the price.
