The playground and trampoline were a huge hit with our two little kids, who could wander around and were even offered a child-friendly snack without us asking. That let us relax over a delicious homemade lunch. It’s such a welcoming spot, and we felt comfortable as a family right away. The staff were lovely, and you can taste the care in the food. We’ll be back!

The location is ideal for hiking the Gran Paradiso trails, though less so if your plan is to shop in Cogne. The rooms are simple, clean, and have private bathrooms, with just the right balance of comfort and practicality. Meals are included, and there was enough choice that we looked forward to picking from the well-made mountain dishes with quality ingredients. Everyone at the hotel and restaurant was friendly and helpful, even though we asked plenty of questions. They seemed to enjoy their work, too.

We loved the homey living room and all the little corridors, games, and corners that make the place great for kids. It’s tucked away from the road, too. Nathalie, Andrea and Stefano make guests feel like they’re in a little holiday heaven. The team seems happy to be there, and half-board is really good value. We’d return at the first chance.

We stayed for three nights. The staff were nice, and the room was okay, but there was no view. The shower was tiny, with weak pressure and water that wouldn’t stay at a steady temperature. Breakfast was below average and dinner was average. If you want peace and quiet, this probably isn’t the place. After 7 a.m., sleeping was unfortunately no longer possible.
