Hotel Mezdì

I’ve stayed here twice and had a wonderful experience both times. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. Great hotel, highly recommend it!

The stay was pleasant, but at this price I expected the staff to be more attentive and give guests a bit more time. Parking out front is free if you can get a spot, and we were lucky enough to find one. Otherwise, private parking costs extra. When we arrived, no one was at reception. We waited, then got a sheet of information without an explanation or anyone asking about our stay to make it feel more personal. The hotel and room were very clean, though the shower room smelled strongly of bleach for a day. Bathrobes and flip-flops were handy for the pool, and the balcony had an excellent Dolomites view. The hotel is warm, but the road outside is busy, so light sleepers may want to keep the door shut even if that makes the room less comfortable. It was a nice touch to find dog bowls and treats in the room. We paid €25 per dog per night. There wasn’t a suitable place for them to do their business, and when we asked at the desk where to go, the answer was only where not to go. Breakfast and dinner were pretty good, though not wow good. The waiter’s quirky jokes were too much for my taste. He also seemed annoyed when we said we’d be eating elsewhere the next night, then walked off without wishing us a good time. Reception isn’t open 24/7, and there’s no one downstairs after 11pm. The pool and gym close at 19:00pm, which seems too early.

We booked here at the last minute on our Dolomites trip and had a fabulous time unwinding in the wellness area. The half-board deal was great value, with four courses and delicious food. They catered for gluten-free at dinner and breakfast, which was fantastic. We forgot some clothes in our room, but when we passed back they had them waiting for us. Lovely staff too :)

At Mezdi Hotel, the food was outstanding and every meal was a delight. Paulo and Alexandra were warm and professional, and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The only thing that could use attention is the sauna, which could do with updates to meet the standard of the rest of the hotel. We had an amazing stay, and highly recommend Mezdi Hotel for a great stay in the Dolomites.
