The room was clean enough at first glance, and the location is nice. Still, there were broken things and signs of wear all over. The cobwebs were everywhere despite the promised cleaning, and a friend even got tangled in one. The owner apparently charges nearly as much for cleaning as the accommodation costs, which we were told about. The door handles didn’t match, and there was only one. The lock was so bad we couldn’t get in; the owner struggled with it too, so I ended up sleeping in my car outside. I was exhausted from trying to open the door, though, so I slept fine. The toilet tank wouldn’t refill because limescale stopped the float from rising. There were screws scattered around, apparently useful for repairs or as a replacement fridge handle, since the fridge door opens with a screw. Exposed wires and open sockets need an electrician before the next guest. I found no flaws, though, and highly recommend it.

I booked two nights for workers through my company. We paid by bank transfer with a direct debit, but the owner turned the men away because he wanted an instant transfer. He didn’t return the money after we’d paid. Instead, he went quiet and claimed they had made a mess and stayed there. I don’t trust him.
