A lovely countryside place, beautifully kept, clean, and tastefully decorated. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive. There are good hikes nearby, and Palermo and Cefalu are also close. If all the accommodation choices in Sicilia have you overwhelmed, this is a great pick for a relaxing nature stay. The WiFi isn’t great, so it’s not the place for working, and it’s not for partying either.

The peaceful setting, lovely nature, and spacious, clean rooms were highlights. Collesano and the other nearby villages are charming, with some excellent places to eat. Still, Casena Mongerrati has a lot of potential but we wouldn’t recommend it in its current state. There was no warm welcome, little guest care, and barely any English was spoken. The pool was too cold, there was no phone signal at all, and the WiFi hardly worked. The food tasted bland and industrial, and was overpriced. We’d skip the on-site restaurant and drive to Trattoria Carricaturi in Collesano, 10 minutes away, or Casale Drinzi, 5 minutes away. Both had excellent local food at very reasonable prices. This beautiful place needs more heart and better management.

It’s a great spot for peace and quiet, though the sea is at least a 30-40 minute drive away. The staff were kind, but gave us the impression they were ready for the season to end. We had both lunch and dinner at the restaurant and enjoyed the good food and attentive service. Breakfast was good too, and they even baked a vegan option for my vegan wife, a thoughtful touch.

The drive to the sea is fun and the landscapes are awesome. Sicily felt like paradise here, with wonderful staff, an amazing setting, good food, and a swimming pool.

FANTASTIC!! Our room was a good size with spectacular views, and it was very clean. In fact, the whole place was spotless. The pool was a nice size and our son loved it, and the garden was beautiful. The staff and owners were very friendly. Good breakfast and great dinner, plus plenty of secure parking behind a gate. The only small issue was that the mattress felt a little soft, though that’s personal.
