B&B Chez Vivì

The view over the Euganean hills and vineyards is beautiful, and there's a pretty garden, a veranda where breakfast is served, and a big pool. But we felt ripped off because the price was high for what we got, and services weren't as expected. Check-in only starting at 6pm is very late, and the rooms weren't very clean. The main problem was the heat. Each room had air conditioning, but the owners kept the controllers and said work was being done, so it couldn't be switched on. A review from a year earlier described the same thing, so it seems this may be a recurring issue or a scam to get tourists to book the AirBnb believing it has air-con. Nights were a little cooler, but there were no mosquito nets, and there were lots of mosquitoes. We had to choose between keeping the windows shut in a hot, stuffy room or risking bites. After we complained strongly that air-conditioning was one of the main reasons we booked this Airbnb, they somehow managed to provide it for 2-3 hours.

It's in a good location, but the property is neglected and the garden needs work. The gazebo for breakfast was dirty, and the food, if you can call it that, was all packaged and low quality. Our room wasn't very clean either, and the bathroom had no bidet. We absolutely don't recommend it.

This happened on August 14th and 15th. The owners made us take out the waste we created during our stay, and we weren't allowed to use the living room because it was only for them. We couldn't even sit and chat with friends, with no party or music, so renting an entire B&B made no sense. The owner argued with us and threatened to call the police. Given how absurd the situation was, we actually wanted the police to come.

It's ABSURD! We paid what we were asked to pay, but whenever we wanted the air conditioning to run for more than an hour, the owner shut it off from the main switch. Each room has air conditioning, yet during the day we had to ask the owner just to turn it on. We woke up at 3 a.m. because of the heat. It was below 35 degrees, and we wanted to stay a bit cooler, but they switched it off to save money. I don't think that's fair.
