Lunch on a really hot summer day wasn’t the best timing, so we’ll return when it’s cooler. Everything we ordered tasted good, and the prices are reasonable. The bill mostly grew because of all the cold beers we drank 🤣. There’s a nice menu mixing regional and creative dishes. I especially recommend the generous mixed grilled meat platter, the fried chicken, and the tasty cheesecake served in individual Mason jars. Their homemade pasta with tomato sauce, made with tomatoes from their vegetable garden, was also tasty and well made. The only reason I’m not giving five stars yet is that the costata (rib-eye) was a bit fibrous. We were told that outside the hot, dry season, you can hear water flowing from the nearby spring while dining on the terrace, which overlooks the property and nearby forest. The place is run by a young woman and her brother, who is the chef, and they’re doing a very good job. Let’s support these young entrepreneurs. We’ll be back for more good food in the fall.

We went for the first time on August 15th and felt at home straight away. The food was delicious, the staff friendly, and the prices fair. We liked it enough to come back for the next two lunches. Highly recommend!

The welcome was warm, and the waiters were helpful from the start. The portions are generous, prices more than fair, and the food is typical Paduan. Even the house wine, often a weak spot, was a good Cabernet. The desserts were just as good, fresh and artisanal, nothing like the usual restaurant fare. I’d highly recommend it for a relaxed evening in the hills.

Really good home cooking: delicious Paduan chicken salad, excellent rabbit and goose, and a great venison ragù. For mains, we had Venetian-style fried chicken and grilled cockerel. The meat quality was excellent and the prices very fair. We didn’t have time to take photos, unfortunately! Thanks to the very young Laura and Riccardo for making us feel so welcome.
