Valle Rillo Agriturismo

The place itself is worth visiting, and it's a truly beautiful agriturismo in a stunning location. Still, the way the owner handled our booking and later issue left me with a very negative impression. I originally booked two rooms through Booking.com. That same day, the owner messaged me there, saying she was having trouble processing payments through the portal and suggesting I book directly with her on the same terms, with a deposit. It struck me as odd, but I agreed. When a health emergency stopped us from going that weekend, she eventually accepted a date change after I tried several times to reach her. She asked me to give a month's notice. Once we'd chosen a long weekend, I told her more than two months ahead. At first she said all was fine, then several days later, at 11:30 pm, she said she'd made a mistake and one room was already occupied. I asked if she knew somewhere else. She briefly mentioned a hotel and told me to manage to find another place. I did find one myself, fortunately, even though I'd already taken vacation days. On arrival, the rooms were clean but basic, and breakfast was rather meager and unpretentious. After we left, I realized we'd forgotten something and asked her to mail it, offering to pay the €5 shipping fee by bank transfer. She said she'd sent the package, but it never arrived. When I asked for a receipt, she said she couldn't find one or send it to me, and that she'd wasted a whole morning at the post office. That sounds unlikely to me in a town like Comacchio. I'll leave others to judge what happened. Despite having a thousand qualifications, the lady who runs the place doesn't seem suited to dealing with customers. She charged us €5 in postage, though we'd left much more for the room, and I have no proof the package was ever sent despite asking for a receipt.
