The first two days were fine, including the service. On the third day, we went to the swimming pool and met a different lifeguard, an older man with a long beard. He gave us a strange look as soon as we arrived. He asked everyone to remove their shoes, even those who weren't going swimming. We did, as we'd done on the first two days. Then he said my little daughter couldn't use the children's pool. When I explained she couldn't swim in the large pool, he walked off looking annoyed. I gave her floaties so she could try the larger pool, but he came back and told me in Italian she couldn't swim without a swimming cap. Reception had told us a cap wasn't required, but he wouldn't accept that and said she should leave if she didn't want to wear one. She started crying because of the way he spoke to us. I was angry and took her away. We went to reception to get her a cap, but we won't swim again if that man is there. The other lifeguard, a young and respectful man, was much better. That older lifeguard was really rude and unprofessional.
