The air conditioning was a real help on a hot, humid day, and breakfast was delicious. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly, and the rooms were clean and nice. It’s a great base for exploring Como and the wider lake area, with downtown a short walk away. The train station is about ten minutes on foot, less if you’re carrying less stuff than I was. Highly recommend it.

The hotel is close to pretty much everything you’d want to see in Como, and the staff really try to make you comfortable. Breakfast is basically continental, with some strong coffee. My one issue was the smallest room had no iron or ironing board. The closest laundromat needed a week to get clothes back, so a shared ironing board at the hotel would be useful.

The air conditioning wasn’t working when I was there, but they provided fans. It was still a little warm, though I slept okay. The hotel was very clean, the staff were nice, and the main train station is extremely convenient, about a one-minute walk.

The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was the best I’ve had. It’s about a ten-minute walk to the centre, and there’s a great little coffee shop across the road.
