Hostel Ostello Bello Lake Como

At Ostello Bello Como, I felt at home from the moment I arrived. It's comfortable, clean, cozy, and nicely organized, with a warm atmosphere and great people around. Adriano deserves a special mention. He's the best, always friendly, kind, and happy to help with a smile. He made my stay memorable. If you're going to Como, I'd say stay here. It feels like joining a family.

We loved the pictures in the bar, the friendly staff, and the good atmosphere. The rooms were clean, and we ended up making friends with staff and lots of locals. It was the best hostel stay we've had, and we can recommend it. Sincerely, Dina and Yvette

The location made it easy to walk around Como, and the staff were great. The shared spaces are cool, and the bar gets lively with a younger crowd. I stayed two nights in a 6-bed room and couldn't wait to leave. The people were good, but the room felt worn, and some fixtures didn't work. The metal storage bins under the beds screeched loudly whenever someone used them. I don't like having hostel bathrooms inside the room, especially with the door right by my head and poor ventilation. The shower is level with the floor, so water gets all over it, and the bathroom was starting to feel dingy. As far as I could tell, this section had only one bathroom in the common area. I woke up with bites in a suspiciously straight line. I can't say for sure what caused them, but I strongly suspect something. Not the worst stay, though the rooms really need improvement.

The staff were great, the place was super clean, and it's hard to beat the short walk to downtown. The rooms were okay, though the top bunks on the third level were shaky.
