Breakfast was lovely, and the setting is beautiful enough that I'd highly recommend it. Getting around was the downside. It's away from Como's shops, restaurants, and waterfront, and the taxis are expensive and unreliable. We needed to take the local bus, but the staff gave us vague transport advice.

The lady who welcomed us on the first day helped us discover places around como, which we appreciated. We stayed for four days, and it was a quiet, pleasant place. August was a good time to visit in summer, though the weather was rainy. I'd recommend staying here.

The receptionist Susanna's behavior made this an extremely negative stay. My Booking.com reservation clearly said the suite had two bedrooms, each with a double bed, but when we checked in, there was only one bedroom. When I tried to talk it through, Susanna was angry, kept interrupting me, and didn't speak proper English. Sometimes she used Italian words I couldn't understand. We got there at 2:00 PM and were met in an unfriendly way. Susanna insisted that Booking.com and their messages said check-in was at 3:00 PM. In most hotels, even if the room isn't ready, guests can at least come in and wait. That wasn't handled pleasantly here. At checkout, ten minutes before the official time, at 10:50 AM, I had returned the room and gone downstairs for a coffee before leaving. Susanna came over and demanded that I leave the premises right away, saying checkout was at 11:00 AM. At every other hotel I've stayed in, I've been allowed to use common areas before check-in and after checkout. It was a very negative experience. The receptionist's unprofessional behavior completely ruined what I had expected before arriving.

The classic breakfast was fresh and good. I spent three days here and it felt like a dream, with a superb room and setting. Susanna was friendly and always available when I needed help. I'd gladly return, and recommend it to anyone who likes quiet and interiors with a 60s and later aesthetic.
