At about 4:30am on September 19, 2025, I went to the lobby because my roommate was very sick, I couldn’t sleep, and I was worried I might get sick too. I asked Mauro, who was on the night shift, if I could sit in the other room because it was dark. He said it was closed, so I settled with my luggage in the lobby and put a movie on my phone, hoping to rest a little. Around 5:00am he turned on all the lobby lights and left the front door wide open, which felt like an intentional attempt to disturb me. I couldn’t understand why he would do that to a guest having a hard night. When I asked his name, he told me “not to write bullshit.” At 6:11am, he was outside smoking, and the smoke was coming into the lobby along with smells from passing cars. The other hotel employees I met during my stay were terrific. I had thought about not sending a complaint, but Mauro’s comment changed my mind. I’d planned to visit again, but after this treatment I won’t. I hope you agree this was improper and will speak to Mauro so other guests don’t have the same experience. Thank you for your attention.

We’ll definitely come back, as long as the rates don’t rise too much. The hotel feels like a real hidden gem, with great value, stunning views, and the scent of sea and pine all around. Its retro interiors give this classic Amalfi Coast place a lot of character, and I hope they keep the 60s style instead of renovating it. The service and food were great too, and the hotel’s own beach felt private and prestigious without ever being crowded. There’s also a lovely nearby restaurant that offers a free shuttle, and the hotel can arrange a booking for you.

On our second stay, the hotel was just as wonderful, and the staff made it truly memorable. The room and hotel were spotlessly clean, thanks to the housekeeping team, and the poolside staff were kind, efficient, and attentive to the details. Francesco and the reception team were welcoming and professional, always ready to help with a smile. Dinner was a pleasure too: Guiseppe and the restaurant staff gave flawless service, clearly cared about their work, and made every meal enjoyable. Their wine suggestions were excellent. We left feeling relaxed and would highly recommend the hotel.

The views were beautiful everywhere, and our large room was clean. Breakfast had great cheesy eggs, and the two gentlemen serving pizza by the pool were friendly and attentive. On the downside, transportation details weren’t communicated clearly. What we were told seemed to depend on who we spoke with and whether we paid by cash or card, and our pickup from the port was late. Excursion information and dinner options were also unclear. The dining room servers weren’t very friendly, and we only liked a few of the dinner entrees. Food choices in the late afternoon were limited. Our room was usually too warm to sleep comfortably, and we found both the TV and safe confusing to use.
