The owner was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and gave me good suggestions for places to see and eat. The rooms were spacious, clean, and nicely furnished, with air conditioning, a private bathroom, and free Wi-Fi. I stayed at B&B Rifugio del Conte in Conversano’s historic center, a lovely, peaceful town with plenty of beauty, culture, and local character. It’s also a useful base for exploring Puglia, with Polignano a Mare, Alberobello, Castellana Grotte, Monopoli, and other lovely towns only a short drive away. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic, relaxing stay, and I’ll definitely come back.

The host was very kind and courteous, and communication about the late check-in and check-out was prompt and smooth. Breakfast was very good, with a free coupon for Bar Italia, and the card terminal worked fine. I booked one night as a stop on my way to Sicily along the Adriatic coast, and the location is handy for Polignano. The B&B sits in the historic center, with fairly convenient parking nearby. It’s basic but has what you need, including a useful fridge and air conditioning, though the unusual layout kept it cool. The bed was comfortable. Just be aware that the apartment is split over two floors, with steep steps up to the sleeping area and bathroom. That helps keep the spaces separate, but it’s good to know beforehand.
