The staff were patient and really helpful when I struggled with Italian, and my room was clean. I stayed at Nuova Grotella in August of 2024. It’s a lovely modern hotel with a very good restaurant, and I’d stay there again if I’m near Copertino.

Truckers will find plenty of parking here, even for coolers. The appetizers and main dishes were really tasty, and this was a nice restaurant to come across so far down in Italy.

Breakfast was very poor for the price and standard. We paid €110 for one night in a double room, and we knew that price before arriving. What we didn’t know was that we’d be put in a cramped, small, very dated room. The online photos show the renovated part, which is why we chose this hotel, but there are no pictures of this old section. We regret paying the same €110 as for the updated room. This room felt unmaintained and unwelcoming, without basic hotel amenities, and the night was worth no more than €25/30 to me. Copertino (LE) is not one of Salento’s best-known towns, either. It was a terrible experience.
