Cactus house

A lovely house to visit and enjoy a holiday.

The pool was fantastic, and we had a secure place to park the car. The house itself was beautiful, spacious, and well furnished, with fly screens on every window. If you're vacationing in Italy and want to visit Rome, this is a great place to book. We'd definitely come back.

The owners were two wonderfully sweet and kind people. They were available whenever we needed them, while still giving us plenty of privacy, and made us feel at home with their warm welcome. The villa is lovingly cared for, spotless, welcoming, and has everything you need. We especially enjoyed the peaceful garden and the pool on sunny days. The spa and whirlpool were an extra touch that made the stay feel even more relaxing and special. We wholeheartedly recommend this place and hope to return soon.

We stayed at Cactus House in January 2025 as a couple. Maurizio and Valter were lovely from the start. Maurizio walked us through the house and spa, and left a tart in the kitchen, plus prosecco and grapes in the spa. Around 7:00 PM they brought out two platters for us at the outdoor lounge table, with cold cuts, cheeses, olives, mozzarella sticks, and freshly baked focaccia. They even let us check out two hours late so we could have breakfast and pack without rushing. The private spa is in a separate annex across the garden. It was already warm and ready, with hot water in the two-person whirlpool, lots of lit candles, two massage beds, and a bioethanol fireplace that heats the room and adds a relaxing atmosphere. The spa is well heated. The house is spacious and full of thoughtful details. It had Christmas decorations inside and out, among the cacti and other plants in the garden. The living area is huge, with three sofas around a comfortable wood-burning fireplace that also heats the rooms, and a huge LED TV opposite. There's a big dining table and a fully equipped built-in kitchen with appliances, cookware, plates, cutlery, sugar, coffee pods, herbal teas, a kettle, salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, and the other basics for cooking. An archway separates the living area from the sleeping area. There's a large bathroom with a tub, and a huge double bedroom with a second, very comfortable bathroom. Though that bathroom is small, it has a big shower for two. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely return to Cactus House.
