The owner was friendly and welcoming, and the place is in a great location. But I’ve decided not to stay there again. The fan coil heaters were noisy enough to bother my sleep, even though I can usually fall asleep without trouble when I’m exhausted from work travel. Then a thunderstorm caused a small issue that tripped the main meter. With the owner off-site, I had to get by using the flashlight I always carry. It’s a beautiful, welcoming place, but a power outage like that is too serious an inconvenience for me. That’s why I gave it four stars.

After I asked about checking in early, the reply was arrogant and unprofessional. If that’s how they deal with someone who might become a guest, I can only imagine what the service at the property is like. I cancelled the Booking.com reservation and am leaving this review because of that presumptuous attitude. See you soon!

Our room was called "cavallina storna," one of Pascoli’s poems, and it was a real gem, spotless too. The owners were very kind. Breakfast isn’t included, but having the coffee machine and herbal teas available was a nice extra before heading out to explore the Garfagnana. If we get the chance, we’ll stay here again.

I emailed twice and got no reply, then tried the website form without hearing anything. A few days later I called for information. They said they’d call back in ten minutes, but after two hours there was still nothing. I tried again and got voicemail. So I sent a WhatsApp message saying to forget it, and three minutes later they replied that there were no openings. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Not recommended.
