Casa Adagio

The owners were lovely, and our apartment was practical and tastefully furnished. Casa Adagio is a well-kept farmhouse tucked into the Marche hills, with the quiet and nature we wanted for a break from city life. Senigallia is about a 25-minute drive, and the medieval village of Corinaldo is about 10 minutes away. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return, maybe in June when the sunflowers are in bloom.

The garden and terraces look out over a beautiful, wide landscape, with cornfields, patches of woodland, farmhouses, and now and then a car far off along the hilltop. It all spreads out like a watercolor, and whenever I visit, I wish I could paint. We've stayed at Casa Adagio several times and always come home feeling restored. There's a special peace to the place, perhaps because of its hillside setting, which feels sheltered.

We've visited Casa Adagio in different seasons and are already looking forward to going again. The quiet, rolling countryside of Le Marche lets us switch off from everyday life, and the hosts' suggestions for nearby outings and cultural sights have added a lot to our holidays. The sea and sandy beaches are 15-20 minutes away by car. There are lovely walks too, with a Rother hiking guide in every apartment, or you can head to nearby Corinaldo for wine and food. Each clean, well-kept apartment is tastefully decorated and has its own terrace within the 4,000 square meter grounds. The garden, with olive, cypress, and deciduous trees, feels like a real treat for the senses. An oleander hedge leads up to the old manor house. The hosts are very kind, and the whole place is a lovely spot to recharge.

We've stayed here twice already, and it's a great fit if you're after quiet. The landlords are friendly and attentive. Our yellow apartment had its own stylish character, with a big garden, peaceful surroundings, and views over the fields.
