Al Poc da Subide

Breakfast the next morning was “PRINCIPLESQUE,” and then I set off by bike for Istria. I’d arrived the day before to a warm welcome, and they suggested a restaurant within walking distance where I ate well for a very good price. The room was spacious, bright, cool, and well furnished, with air conditioning and a spotless bathroom directly off the room. The building sits on a hill, its exterior is well kept, and there’s a swimming pool. One thing to know: Google gives the exact address but places the agriturismo in central Cormons, while it’s actually just outside town on the SR409. Kudos to Marisa and her family.

Breakfast was a treat, served at the table by Elisa or her mother, with everything we needed: tea, coffee, pastries, soft-boiled eggs, cold cuts, and more. The hosts are so warm and friendly, and Elisa speaks excellent German. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and the accommodation felt very cozy. Thank you, we’ll definitely be back! :-)

Set among vineyards, this lovely B&B is just a couple of kilometers from Cormons. The spacious rooms are in a renovated farmhouse and are well maintained. Breakfast from the owners was excellent, with cappuccino, fresh croissants, fruit, and organic yogurt. I think it’s a great base for visiting the Collio area, which is well worth seeing.

The owners made us feel very welcome, and breakfast was plentiful. The property has been beautifully renovated among the woods, which kept it wonderfully cool. Our room and bathroom were spacious and tastefully furnished. We’ll definitely return.
