Phi Hotel dei Medaglioni

Check-in and checkout were straightforward, and breakfast was included. There weren’t many vegan options, but it was good enough. We had a couple of minor inconveniences: the bathroom could use better ventilation and a hairdryer. I’d rate it 4.5.

The air conditioning didn’t work either of the two nights, and I had to ask for a fan each night. Worse, I left my bags here and came back to find items missing. I told the front desk right away, then called several times after leaving to ask for a refund. They refused and never let me speak to the manager, despite several requests. Instead of a refund, they offered a coupon for a future stay with an expiration date, knowing I was from another country and wouldn’t be back before it expired. Their response felt like a slap in the face, and I’m very disappointed by the hotel’s lack of accountability for its employees. I would never stay here again.

The breakfast went beyond what I expected, with high-quality local products and well-known Italian specialties. The staff were exceptionally attentive and took care of things before I even thought to ask. Friendly and capable is a great combination. The building has a distinctive, noble character, and many carefully maintained details add to the atmosphere. I’m looking forward to coming back. This was my best experience in a four-star hotel in recent years. Many so-called four-star hotels and resorts could learn a lot from the team at Phi Hotel dei Medaglioni in Correggio.

We felt very comfortable here and can recommend the hotel without hesitation. It’s in the heart of Corriggio, in a classic older style, while the rooms are modernized, comfortable, and very clean. Breakfast was very good, with lots of choice.
