Cortona Charme B&B

What an awesome place!

The location made it easy to explore Cortona’s historic center on foot, with shops, restaurants, and sights close by. The staff were welcoming and professional, and were always ready with suggestions about what to do or where to eat. The rooms were spotless and carefully maintained, with tasteful furnishings that mix historic touches and modern style. I had a fantastic stay in this beautiful property and would definitely return. It’s a lovely choice if you’re looking for comfort, relaxation, and a chance to soak up the beauty of Tuscany.

The Royal Suite has generous, enjoyable living space, including a breakfast table and a walk-in closet with a makeup area, mirror, and hangers. The classic room is beautiful, with frescoes. It’s right in the center and very convenient for visiting Cortona. Parking is about 200 meters away and not always available, though EasyPark works fine. There are a handful of details that could be put right: a broken handle, a loose carpet that’s easy to trip on, a cabinet door that won’t close properly over the minibar, low quality fabric on the bed curtain, and some 1960s-style furnishings that don’t fit the room. Please keep in mind that the street outside the windows is busy and noisy. During my mid-August stay it quieted down after midnight, but was loud during the day. The room is on the second floor, and the stairs are hard to manage with suitcases. Unloading is awkward too, since you have to park in a no-parking area to carry your luggage to the room.
