We spent a week there last August. The pool was lovely, and there was a BBQ to use. A great fit for families with children, I'd recommend it.
This place is out in the countryside, so it's quite a way from things. The apartment has two floors, with a roomy living area, an adequately equipped kitchen, and a lovely fireplace. Upstairs there's a large double bedroom and a smaller room with a single bed. The only bathroom is downstairs, and it's cramped and has no bidet. We found the house really cold and needed the radiators on throughout our stay, which left us with a big gas bill. We also had to pay for the fireplace wood. The owners were very kind, but their utility rates felt excessive. At €4.50 per cubic meter, gas costs too much, even with inflation. I'd say this would be a better place to stay in summer than winter.
The owners were polite and helpful, and everything else was fine, though the beds weren't very comfortable. The property sits in a large green area at the foot of Cortona. We came for the long Immaculate Conception weekend, but it rained almost every day, so we didn't get to enjoy the place fully. I'd like to come back in nicer weather, maybe in spring.
The pool kept the children and families entertained, and the setting has that Tuscan look you see in magazines. It's also a handy base for exploring the region, with Arezzo, Siena, Cortona, Lake Trasimeno, and other gems within easy reach. Massimo is thoughtful and attentive, and can help find a good fit from among his several cottages. A charming spot. We'll definitely return, and recommend it!
