Locanda agli Amici

We walked into the city and back each day. It was a nice walk, and the hotel isn't too far away. My boyfriend and I stayed for three nights this summer, and had a wonderful time. The room was clean, the view from both the room and pool area was beautiful, and breakfast was great. The staff were kind and did all they could to make things perfect. On our last morning we had to leave before the buffet opened, so they prepared breakfast to take with us the night before. Great service. We'd happily return and recommend staying here.

There are seven lovely bedrooms, so it could be a great place for a family or group of friends to celebrate something special. We enjoyed the walks, the small, gorgeous pool and Cortona, where the film ‘under the Tuscan sun’ was set. The town is a pretty walk away, and the views are stunning. What made this feel like a full Tuscan experience, though, was Silvia's attention to detail and cooking, along with her partner's knowledge of wine. The hospitality and food were sensational, with exquisite meals and wonderful wine. We travel a lot for work and socially, and this was a truly special stay. Thank you, Silvia.

With just seven rooms, this hidden gem above Cortona feels quaint, quiet and clean, and the property is well maintained. Silvia and her staff made us feel very welcome. The breakfast and chef-prepared dinners were outstanding.
