Costa Paradiso Resort

The setting is what makes it: stunning sunsets and coves you can reach on foot if you're on the coastal side. The area is made up of little clusters of houses with minimarkets and restaurants, the basics are there. Licossi beach, with a small area of facilities, was a 30-minute walk from our apartment, which was opposite the pool. The apartment's upkeep was a sore point. Maybe the post-lockdown period affected the organization, but cleanliness and attention to detail needed work. Towels cost extra, and there wasn't even a roll of toilet paper. With no air conditioning, fan, or mosquito nets, the room got hot and nights were sleepless. That needs reconsidering. There are good restaurants nearby, especially Lino's, a local place that's open in winter and serves Sardinian food with the local spirit. Maya's takeaway pizza at sunset is pretty good too. Personal note.

August 2024. We booked through the Odalys website with confidence because we'd always been happy with their service before. This stay at ODALYS COSTA PARADISO was a disaster. Villinis B cottage was meant for 4/6 people, but it was 28°C inside the 50m² space and there was no air conditioning. Leaving windows open at night to cool it down wasn't possible because of the noise, and the mosquitoes were merciless. Watch out for wild boars too. I'm not kidding, my partner and I know the difference. You'll need a car for everything, and parking isn't easy to find. We got a €29 fine straight away. RUN AWAY, YOU FOOLS!!!

It's a lovely, quiet place in the Mediterranean scrub, perched by the sea with a little beach and crystal-clear water. I could live there. The resort has all the comforts, but it's very expensive, especially the supermarkets, and a bit isolated, about 40 km from Santa Teresa di Gallura from Badesi. It suits families with children up to 12. There isn't much set up for 16 to 20 year olds unless they arrive with a group.
