Gravina Residence - Villas & Apartments

We had a spacious, clean single bed room apartment, with a common swimming pool and car parking. The location is convenient if you're staying in Costa paradiso. We even saw kind wild boars now and then; the garbage disposal is managed well now, so they don't enter the premises. I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews.

We had a broken toilet for the whole week, even after mentioning it to reception several times, and nobody came to fix it. The staff weren't helpful. It doesn't really feel like a resort, either. The place itself is clean and comfortable, with a good, clean pool, though there aren't enough loungers when it's busy. The kitchen is very basic if you plan to cook. Costa Paradiso has a stunning coastline and lovely bays, but you really need a car. One thing to know about ground-floor apartments: wild boars wander through the garden. They weren't aggressive, and were actually quite cute.

The view and pool were lovely, but the place felt very low quality apart from its beautiful setting. We woke up after a storm to about an inch of water inside; it had come in through the balcony floor, and the doors and windows need upgrading. Ants also got in through them, not just a few but full colonies, even in the ceiling, where they would drop onto you. The kitchen was meant to be fully equipped, yet we had to buy glasses and knives. The furniture was basic, with nowhere to put toiletries or hang towels in the bathroom, despite room for shelves. The balcony set was old and broken, and there were only two chairs for three people.

The views from this hilltop spot and the Sardinian pigs are lovely, but the rest was a real letdown. Our rooms were very dirty, including the floors, kitchen, and fridge, and the staff kept ignoring our requests to clean them. The bathrooms were in bad shape, with a shower that didn't work and a terrible smell. The pool wasn't cleaned once during our week. Food at the restaurant was very poor, and the place is far from everything. This doesn't deserve four stars; those stars feel like a joke because the service is so unprofessional and maintenance is lacking.
