Franco was a great host. He suggested a range of things to do in Costacciario, and even drove me and my friend to the train himself.

The person I spoke with hung up on me just because I'd mixed up the property. From the first contact, I'd explained that we were waiting for quotes from several places so we could compare and decide. I also felt that, as a property, I could accept other, more definite bookings if they came in. To me, this behavior reflects the selfishness, malice, and indifference of today's world, and it was completely out of place and unjustified. We won't choose this property this year or consider it in the future. Management can improve when it has flaws, but rudeness outweighs any positive point a property might have.

The trails nearby are beautiful and fascinating, and the caves, river, and waterfall made for a wonderful experience. The hostel itself is lovely, with clean rooms, a well-equipped shared kitchen, and a great facility. Franco and all the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. There are also lots of traditional festivals, with a medieval atmosphere and a sacred religious feeling. I invite everyone to join me on this wonderful adventure.

There were seven of us, four adults and three children, and we had a wonderful time. The rooms are basic, as you'd expect, but very clean, and the hostel was quiet and welcoming. It's in an excellent location. There's a tobacconist next door run by a very kind woman, and further down the valley there's an inn with excellent food. The manager was kind and always available. We'll definitely be back.
