Golf Hotel Ca' degli Ulivi

The owner? picked us up from the station, saving us from having to book an expensive taxi. We also rented e-bikes for over two days and had amazing rides. It was such a pleasure staying at this beautiful hotel, with a lovely location and even better service. Thanks so much, we’ll definitely come back!

The view is the best thing here. The golf courses aren’t in good shape, and the pools are quite dirty. The restaurant used to be much better, and the prices are definitely too high for the quality. Since this year, kids aren’t welcome anymore, so we’ve lost any desire to come back. I’m really sorry, but our lovely second home was lost with the new host. A thousand thanks to the previous host, Mr Fausto. He was the best!

The ambience was excellent, and the terrace and view at night were gorgeous. The staff were very friendly, and the rooms were pleasant enough, though more like what you’d expect from a 2-star hotel. The problem was our confirmed four-night booking was cut to two nights, so we had to leave early, with hardly any compensation. We got the impression they offer rooms to whoever pays the highest price, and the restaurant is overpriced too. That’s unfortunately a no-go.

The hotel has an amazing view, but the unfriendly staff managed to ruin even that. The rooms and amenities are dated, and the food is average at best. At dinner, we were given one Italian menu and had to ask for three English ones. The bill wasn’t suitable for a business invoice: every item was simply listed as “bar” with one total, without the individual names. We were told breakfast was at 10:30, then got a very unfriendly response when it turned out to be at 10. We also found cigarette paper in an Aperol. When we told the waiter, he just said OK and did nothing else, not even apologizing. Such a shame, because the place has potential. With proper renovation and management, it could be a perfect wedding and upscale venue.
