Hotel Dei Camosci

The rooms are very basic, but if you're skiing all day, what more do you need? Just bring an extension cord, as there are only two power points and both have lamps plugged in. The nearest lift is about a 13-15 minute walk, though the handy shuttle runs every half hour, so getting there is easy. The food is great and the staff are super friendly. A great little hotel, highly recommended.

The hotel has a lovely lounge area where you can relax with a drink. It's a cozy place, and everyone was very nice. I stayed two nights during the ski season opening weekend. From the hotel Dei Camosci, it's a 15-minute walk to the center of Courmayeur. It's rated three stars, but deserves more, in my view. I definitely recommend it.

We knew The Dei Camosci in Cormayeur was a lower-cost three-star hotel, but the food fell far short of the reviews calling it amazing. There was plenty of it, sure, but the quality was awful and much of it was inedible. At Christmas dinner, we got a few slices of the driest turkey known to man, with cold carrots alongside. We left them uneaten. I can't understand how the turkey was cooked to end up that dry. We've stayed at other three-star places where the food was simple but tasty. This hotel feels stuck in the 80s in every way, with no investment made and no interest in investing. We wouldn't return or recommend it.

The owner ran short shuttle trips to and from the Dolonne lift, which made getting there simple. It's about a 15-minute flat walk into town, and we walked back from the Mont Blanc Skyway too, which took around 25-30 minutes. There was a handy ski and boot room, plus nice bar and lounge areas. We had a great skiing stay in March 2025. The room was lovely, clean, and traditional, the staff were excellent and friendly, and the food was amazing, with plenty of it.
