Bed and Breakfast Il Motto

So friendly and helpful ❤️

Silvia made a generous breakfast and gave us lots of useful ideas for trips. We spent two weeks there and felt very comfortable in the house. From it, you look over the big garden with its fruit trees, like a green oasis, and down toward the lake. We left the car parked the whole time. There are lovely walking routes right from the front door, along old paths through the woods and small villages above the lake. The shore is a 10-minute walk downhill. The ferries stop in nearby Pianello, and bus connections are good.

The room, bathroom, and rest of the house were very clean, and there was a kettle and tea in the room. Silvia was incredibly kind. Her advice was accurate and so useful that we made the most of our few days in the northern part of Lake Como. She knows where to go, so we trusted her completely.

This is a tucked-away little corner of Lake Como, in a green village full of old homes, lakeside spots, and paths to explore. B&B Il Motto in Cremia is all about a warm welcome, peace, and helpfulness. Mr. Bruno and his daughter made us feel wonderfully welcome, and we left enriched by what we experienced and by their lovely courtesy and hospitality. We even felt a little spoiled. It isn't the place for someone looking for luxury, but it's a good fit if you're curious about the area and its simple, distinctive beauty away from the beaten track, while still close by.
