A great place to unwind, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking to relax. The staff were very friendly, and the other guests we met were nice and well behaved. The pool is large, with a pleasant area around it, and the buildings are very well maintained. The view of the sea and mountains is stunning.

The staff were kind, helpful, and competent, which made our stay even better. The pool area is beautiful, with loungers and umbrellas on a well-kept lawn, and the seafront with its wide free beaches and private lidos is only a few minutes away. We chose a farmhouse holiday for the first time and were more than happy with Vulcano. It’s surrounded by olive trees, and the excellent food made us feel very well looked after. Breakfast was generous, sweet and savory, with something new every morning. I only wish the kitchen had been open for dinner too, so we wouldn’t have had to look for a restaurant after a day at the beach. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, with a simple rustic style that suited the setting. Outside was a little sitting area with armchairs, a sofa, and a coffee table. The lantern could have been brighter at night.

The food at both breakfast and lunch was excellent, made with ingredients grown there. Enrico, Mrs. Serafina, the chef, and the rest of the staff were kind, friendly, and ready to help with anything. The rooms are very comfortable and have all the essentials. The property is just outside the city center, but still close by, and the location is great for getting to the seafront. I’d highly recommend it for a holiday in Calabria.

Enrico was always available and quick to take care of whatever we needed. The staff work with passion and professionalism, and both the restaurant and breakfast were top-notch. It’s a clean, relaxing, well-kept place, and the pool area is a treat. We’ll definitely be back. 🤩

The breakfast was good, and Enrico deserves a sincere thank you. He was consistently kind and available, and was the best part of our stay. On the other hand, the room service was poor: no one came to make the beds or empty the bins. I understand changing towels every other day, but daily room cleaning, bed-making, and emptying the bins should be standard. We got one toilet roll for three people and three shower gel sachets for the whole two-night stay. At first I thought it was an oversight, but we saw other guests asking for toilet paper, so it seemed deliberate. I’d warn the owners against this stingy approach. You pay for services as part of your stay. The setting itself is very appealing, with expansive olive groves, well-kept paths, children’s slides and games, and a pool in a sunny, breezy spot. The view of the sea is beautiful, and our room was very spacious and comfortable. The main drawback was the food. We had lunch on arrival and paid €48, including cover charge, a quarter of wine, and a can of Coke. The appetizer was €10 and consisted of a slice of grilled eggplant, four olives, a tiny eggplant meatball, a finger-thin potato croquette, a zucchini flower fritter, and two capocollo slices barely bigger than €2 coins. My wife’s €18 braciola turned out to be a roll with a little cucumber, onion, pepper, and potato, though nobody asked her about the onion and she doesn’t eat it. My son’s €8 pennette with tomato sauce was perhaps the only dish worth its price. The food was worth less than half of what we paid, in my view. We’d planned to eat there again the next day, but went somewhere else and ate much better. For a relaxing stay, I recommend the B&B option, but I’d advise against lunch or dinner here. The portions were tiny and cost about three times what they were worth.
