Hotel Alpenjuwel

The rooms and spa were kept spotless, and the food had everything we could want. What really made the stay, though, were the hosts, an unusually warm and welcoming family who make this place feel one of a kind. It’s a peaceful Alpine hideaway in a gorgeous setting, right at the end of the road. I’d give it six stars without hesitation.

The calm up in the Alps is a big part of the appeal: no crowds or noise, just panoramic views and room to unwind. For a small family-run 3-star hotel, the rooms, meals, cleanliness, and service are all at a really high level, beyond what I’d expect at this rating. The hosts look after people personally and are easy to approach with questions or requests, while still giving you space. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. It’s a well-run place with a lot of heart, and a great fit if you care about quiet, comfort, and quality. Thanks for such a lovely stay!

Alpenjuwel works really well as a base for longer ski tours. We felt at home there, especially enjoyed the food and the new sauna area, and found the hosts helpful, courteous, and very organized.

The meals were so good they could have come from a Michelin-starred restaurant. We stayed four nights as a couple at the “Alpenjuwel” and felt very welcome thanks to the friendly host family. The spa is excellent for a 3-star hotel. I generally cap my ratings at four stars these days, since there’s always something that could be improved.
