B&B Tabiarel

We loved breakfast on the terrace, with vanilla doughnuts, rolls, ham, jam, yogurt, and coffee from the machine. The hosts were warm and helpful, and the rooms each have their own decor. The stairwell is quite striking, too. My son was thrilled with the bed above the double bed. You can add wooden rails at floor level, so he couldn't fall out. There was some noise between rooms, as other reviews had mentioned, but it didn't bother us or our neighbors, who also had children. Tabiarel is tucked right into the woods. Keep following the “road”; when we were there, a “no entry” sign was up, but we drove on. There isn't a street sign for Tabiarel itself. We'd happily stay again and recommend it.

The generous breakfast, with croissants and fresh cured meats, was the one bright spot. The place felt gloomy: little Christmas-tree-style lights on the ramp, and hanging pictures of tools that made the cabin look like a torture museum. There was no real reception, and getting hold of the owner was difficult. The room cleaning seemed to amount to barely straightening the duvet. At night, the termite noise was extremely annoying. More unsettling still, nails stuck out from the beams here and there.

We were alone there, so it was especially peaceful, and the rooms were clean. The rustic tabià, a small building, has been renovated and furnished with good taste. It's set in the woods but still close to the center. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent: fresh croissants or doughnuts, homemade tart, freshly sliced bread, cheese, jams, and butter. There's also a kitchen for preparing meals, plus a drinks machine for hot drinks, a microwave, and a toaster. The shower in the morning had very hot water. We spent two days here and couldn't have been happier. I've never found such a fabulous B&B, and I'll return as soon as I can. Thanks to Mrs. Francesca for her help. I don't understand the other reviews, did we go to the same place? Highly recommended!

Honestly, €85 for one night feels excessive when the water is cold in the morning and you can't shower, and breakfast is just sliced Mulino Bianco bread. The place itself really has potential, but if it's meant to be run as a country-style place, the room prices need to be reviewed.
