It's worth a visit. This fascinating site in the municipality of Deruta, in the hamlet of Casalina, is an ancient fortress that now houses a university library and archive. The Agricultural Education Foundation restored it as a country villa, while its medieval defensive structure remains part of the place's character.

The food is delicious, and the friendliness and hospitality are what stand out here. Surrounded by nature, this place has a century-old history and offers complete tranquility. It's close to the small town of Deruta and not far from Perugia, making it a good fit for a solo trip or a visit with friends.

It's a beautiful place, once used for university agricultural studies not so long ago. The fortress used special cultivars to make wine and oil. It's a shame all of that has fallen by the wayside.

The breakfast was so generous and good that I’d give it five stars on its own. We had a wonderful stay, everything felt perfect. The hotel is romantic and surrounded by greenery, and it can host events too. Classy place, with really professional service. Antonino and Pranzetti
