The spa and pool were pleasant and spacious, with lots of bubbles, though both felt fairly basic for a hotel focused on spa and water experiences. The view of Lake Garda was excellent. Our lake-view room was beautiful, but the stay cost around €300 a night for two adults and our 6-year-old, about twice what other places cost around New Year after Christmas. Maybe we could have saved by skipping the lake view. There’s a lovely rooftop terrace for guests with a great view anyway, so next time we’ll probably do that. We also booked the New Year’s Eve dinner. The food was tasty, and the live music throughout the four-hour event was a nice touch. It ran from about 8 p.m. until almost 11:30 p.m., though, and we spent much of that time waiting for the next course. We’d expected a little New Year show at midnight, but it never happened. The children’s dinner was the biggest disappointment. We paid around €60 for our 6-year-old, but were given the regular kids’ à la carte menu, with dishes around €10 each. Even with dessert, the bill would have been about €32, so it felt like we were overcharged. Drinks weren’t included, which is understandable, but the total dinner bill was around €350, quite excessive for what we got. The main menu was €120. When booking online, we first thought that covered all three of us, but it turned out to be the price per adult.

The complimentary breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in Italy, and the restaurant was great too. The rooms were spacious, with spa testers in the bathroom. The spa shuts at 8pm, which is far too early.

Breakfast was generous, with some vegan and gluten-free choices, and it was all quite nice. The hotel had a pleasant atmosphere, and the price included a full spa treatment. The massage practitioner was very good. The pool, though, was crowded and much too loud to feel relaxing.

The breakfast had a great variety, and the rooms were comfortable. The hotel is very good, and the pool and spa are nice. Having to wear a cap in the pool felt a little odd. The terrace bar felt rather bare, and the hot weather made that more noticeable. A few plants and fans might make it feel fresher and more inviting. I also felt bad seeing staff working in long black trousers and closed shirts in temperatures above 35. It would be nice if they were allowed to wear clothes that are more comfortable and suitable for summer.

From our balcony, we could look straight out over Lake Garda, and the hotel’s position by the water was great. The staff were very courteous and the service was excellent. The only small snag was figuring out how to use the room’s AC.
