Atico Hotel

A storm caught me on arrival and I was soaked, but was told to come back because the room wasn't ready. The hotel was fine for a few nights. It has a comfortable bathroom with a large shower, and I was able to dry my clothes. There's some free parking in front, but no lift, and the rooms are on the first floor. The lakefront is nearby, with a lovely cafe about 400 meters down by the water. When the storm was across the lake, the view was great. The owners were very helpful the next day when there was an issue with my bank. She sorted it quickly and gave me great advice about hopping between towns on the lake ferry. Thank you.

A good choice for a reasonable price, close to the centre. All the rooms are alike, with a bed, TV, fridge, and bathroom with a shower and bidet. The modern hotel building looks different from the historic buildings nearby, and it was nice to stay here. The internet was unbelievably slow, though, so I can't recommend it for business trips.

The rooms are small, but big enough for a couple of nights, and the place gets quieter at night despite being on a busy roundabout. It's only a block from the lake and a few blocks from the main restaurant and bar area. The layout is a little odd, with the rooms on the first floor, or second floor for those from the USA, above some businesses. Breakfast is served on the front patio. You choose from a list the night before, and it's nothing fancy, just okay. We had an early train on our second morning, so they prepared a takeaway bag for us. The train station is about a 15-minute walk away.

The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the rooms were impeccably clean. It's close to the city center. I can fully recommend this little hotel.
