Casa Milly

We felt comfortable here in the end. The apartment was clean and well maintained, though its furnishings were rustic and old-fashioned. It’s in an older building and has air conditioning, a washing machine, dishwasher, balcony, and loggia. The doors are transparent, though, and let light through at night. The toilet flush worked only intermittently; there’s no oven, and there weren’t enough glasses or cups for more than two people. Warm air and noise from the bakery rise straight onto the second-floor apartment’s loggia, which was a bit bothersome. There’s no elevator. The location is a quiet little shopping area in Rivoltella, around 2.7 km from Desenzano. You can walk to Lake Garda, where there’s a beach area with a beach bar and promenade, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. A bakery and hairdresser are right next door, with two supermarkets within walking distance. The courtyard parking space can’t be used on Sundays because of the weekly market.
