We found it especially convenient coming and going by train, and the ferry port and center of Desenzano are only a short walk away. This little hotel has cozy old-school charm, very friendly owners and staff, and a good breakfast. It was great value for money, and we’d stay here again if we return to Desenzano.

Close to the train station, with air conditioning, parking, and a lift. The staff were friendly, but forgetful, which made things frustrating. We asked the night before if we could stay longer, then got a morning call reminding us of the usual checkout time. We’d also paid the city tax in cash at check-in because they asked us to, but there was no receipt or record of it. At checkout we were asked three times to pay it again. The street outside is busy, and the hotel is right at a roundabout, so it was noisy at night. Our room had no mini-fridge, free water, kettle, or cups for tea. Breakfast was okay but cold, with no hot food; coffee and tea were available on request. It didn’t feel worth the price.

The rooms could use an upgrade, especially the insulation, but we’d still recommend the place and plan to come back. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly, breakfast had a decent selection and was quite good, and the hotel is conveniently halfway between the train station and town center.

The woman running the hotel was wonderful. She took care of everything we needed and went above and beyond. The location is nice, too, with the waterfront just under a seven-minute walk away. One of the sweetest hotel experiences I’ve had. We’ll book here again on our next visit. ❤️
