Ground Floor Near Beaches and Center Town

The apartment is a five-minute walk from the lake, with bars, restaurants, small shops, and gelaterias nearby. The lakeside promenade is lovely on sunny evenings, and there's a big market on Tuesdays. Esselunga and the Il Leone shopping center are about a 10-minute drive away, useful if the weather turns bad or you fancy a stroll. For Sirmione, I'd take the boat or bus to avoid the parking hassle. There are plenty of outings in the region, including Gardaland, Parco Natura Viva, Movie Park, Outlet Franciacorta, and the pretty towns around Lake Garda. The promenade from Lazise to Bardolino is nice for families, with playgrounds along the way. We were met by the landlord even though we hadn't been in touch beforehand. He went over the details, gave us the key, and handled check-in and check-out independently. He was attentive throughout, available by phone, and willing to help solve any problems. Parking is right in front of the house, under an olive tree. Our apartment was on the second floor with no elevator. It would work well for a family, with spacious rooms, an open-plan living and dining area, and a balcony. The kitchen is minimally equipped, so you may want a small frying pan if you're cooking for yourself. For a longer stay, bring cleaning supplies and utensils too. The bathroom is spacious and has a shower, but in cool, damp weather the towels don't dry quickly, so bring extras. In April the apartment was quite cool, and the heating struggled with the large rooms and high ceilings.

The house was really dirty. It hadn't been cleaned.
