Residenza Miralago With Pool - Two-bedroom Apartment With Lake View

We had a ground-floor apartment with a terrace and a fantastic view. The place was nicely equipped, and the staff were friendly and helpful whenever needed, while staying completely out of our way. It's basically right in the center, about as close as you can get while still being on the first line of the beach.

The view was lovely, and we managed to make the apartment livable, but this was the worst place we've stayed in among loads of apartments in Italy. For a company that says it does home styling, the living room was a jumble: an old sofa bed under a crumpled sheet, a strange bar stool, and a small folding bed. It felt like the apartment was being used for storage. We asked at reception right away if we could move, but there was nowhere else available. Some rooms smelled damp, and the terrace lights stayed bright all night while the curtains didn't cover the windows properly. We replied as soon as Wonderful Italy messaged to ask if everything was okay, but it's been 10 days without any response.

The balcony view is lovely, though the pool gets a bit noisy. Staff at the front desk were kind and helpful, and the center is a short walk away with several bakeries and grocery stores nearby. The apartment is okay, and the sofa bed is comfortable, but it looks a little tired, with scuffed walls and an old bathroom. The shower temperature is really annoying: it changes from hot to ice cold on its own. It's a fine place to stay, but a few things looked better in the photos than they did in person.

From here you can quickly walk to the harbor, shops, and lots of restaurants, and the staff were friendly enough to hold our luggage after checkout. The place was clean and nicely located right by a dock on the lake. On the ground floor, you can step straight from the balcony to the lake. Only reason for a star off: a hallway light shone directly into one bedroom window, and there were no curtains to block it at night. Otherwise, we'd gladly stay again.
